The Peoria Civic Center Welcomes two new Employees

June 21, 2016 (PEORIA) – The SMG-managed Peoria Civic Center is pleased to announce the addition of Danette Snopek as the Director of Finance and Ben Holeton as the Booking Manager. Through an extensive search, SMG and the Peoria Civic Center were able to appoint these qualified employees to their new positions.

 

A Metamora native and Bradley University graduate, Danette earned her degree in Accounting and has worked for multiple local businesses. These include L.R. Nelson, Peoria Housing Authority, and Prairie Home Alliance. Her experience made the transition to the Peoria Civic Center a seamless one.  “I’m looking forward to providing my knowledge and experience and putting it to use to help the Peoria Civic Center flourish,” Danette said.

 

Ben Holeton’s  passion for music started when he was younger, and that passion has carried through his career ever since. Ben is from Danville, IA, and attended college at Central College in Pella, IA where he was a drummer in a rock and blues band that traveled around the Midwest to perform. Eager to experience more, Ben traveled to Nashville where he worked for nine years in the music business as a sound engineer, tour manager, and a booking agent.  All of these skills have led Ben to the Peoria Civic Center.  “I want the Peoria Civic Center to continue as a premiere destination for artists to come through in the Midwest. I see a lot of potential for growth in this market, this is a great facility in a great location, and we really have an opportunity to make this a “must-go to” for artists on tour,” Ben said.

 

The Peoria Civic Center is excited to see what these two driven employees can accomplish, during their time at the Civic Center.
