The SMG-managed Peoria Civic Center and Ameren Illinois invite you to start a tradition of Broadway in your family with these four exciting shows: MOTOWN THE MUSICAL, DIRTY DANCING, THE SOUND OF MUSIC and THE WIZARD OF OZ.  New season tickets are on sale now at the Toyota Box Office at the Peoria Civic Center or online at PeoriaCivicCenter.com.  

The best way to secure new season tickets is to come in and meet with one of our expert ticket sellers at the Toyota Box Office. They can show you the map and talk through your seating options. The Toyota Box Office at the Peoria Civic Center is open Monday-Friday 10:30am-5:30 pm.

 

Season tickets for the 2017-2018 Ameren Illinois Broadway series start at just $149 for all four shows. In addition to a 10% discount on ticket prices, season ticket holders can add on tickets to Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, which plays two shows at the Peoria Civic Center on December 2nd.  Prices for Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer range from $25 to $55.

The Peoria Civic Center is excited to announce that season ticket holders will be able to access the BROADWAY VIP LOUNGE  which will be located on the 1st-floor balcony in the theater lobby before shows and during intermission. This area will feature coffee, treats, and a cash bar exclusively for season ticket holders.  In conjunction with the BROADWAY VIP LOUNGE, season ticket holders can use their season ticket holder card at Avanti’s Restaurants, Peoria Riverfront Museum, World of Wheels and Two25 for special offers.

MOTOWN THE MUSICAL is the true American dream story of Motown founder Berry Gordy’s journey from featherweight boxer to the heavyweight music mogul who launched the careers of Diana Ross, Michael Jackson, Smokey Robinson and many more. Dirty Dancing, November 28th, and 29th - DIRTY DANCING – THE CLASSIC STORY ON STAGE is an unprecedented live experience, exploding with heart-pounding music, passionate romance and sensational dancing.

 

Seen by millions across the globe, this worldwide smash hit features the hit songs “Hungry Eyes,” “Hey Baby,” “Do You Love Me?” and the heart-stopping “(I’ve Had) The Time Of My Life.” London’s Sunday Express says, “This crowd-pleasing stage adaptation hits the jackpot!”

 

It’s the summer of 1963, and 17-year-old Frances “Baby” Houseman is on vacation in New York’s Catskill Mountains with her older sister and parents. Baby discovers her own entertainment when she stumbles upon the staff quarters where an all-night dance party is in full swing. Mesmerized by the raunchy dance moves and the pounding rhythms, Baby can’t wait to be part of the scene, especially when she catches sight of Johnny Castle the resort dance instructor. Baby’s life is about to change forever as she is thrown in at the deep end as Johnny’s leading lady both on-stage and off with breathtaking consequences. The Sound of Music, February 6th, and 7th - The Hills Are Alive! A brand new production of THE SOUND OF MUSIC is coming to the Peoria Civic Center! The spirited, romantic and beloved musical story of Maria and the von Trapp Family will once again thrill audiences with its Tony®, Grammy®, and Academy Award-winning Best Score, including “My Favorite Things,” “Do-Re-Mi,” “Climb Ev’ry Mountain,” “Edelweiss” and the title song.

 

THE SOUND OF MUSIC features music by Richard Rodgers, lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II, book by Howard Lindsay and Russel Crouse, suggested by “The Trapp Family Singers” by Maria Augusta Trapp.

 

THE SOUND OF MUSIC enjoyed extraordinary success as the first live television production of a musical in over 50 years when “The Sound of Music Live!” aired on NBC in December 2013 and was seen by over 44 million people. 2015 marked the 50th anniversary of the film version, which continues to be the most successful movie musical in history. Both performances are at 7:30 pm.

 

The Wizard of Oz, April 25th, and 26th - There truly is no place like home as the greatest family musical of all time, the wonderful WIZARD OF OZ, twists its way into Peoria! The entire family will be captivated as they travel down the Yellow Brick Road and beyond with Dorothy, Toto and their friends the Cowardly Lion, Tin Man and Scarecrow in this lavish production, featuring breathtaking special effects, dazzling choreography, and classic songs.

 

A spectacular celebration of the iconic 1939 MGM film, THE WIZARD OF OZ will blow you away from the moment the tornado touches down and transports you to a dazzling Oz, complete with munchkins and flying monkeys.
